Chapter 22 (OD): In chapter 22, Kit and Peter are on their way to London and they make a stop in Wool Pack to stay the night. The alewife told them landmarks to find their way to York. She told them that they had to stay right and they had to pass the “Virgin Mine”. The next day the alewife got them up at dawn and they were off. They kept going towards London. As they kept riding, they saw a redhead. He was in the middle of the road. He was trying to block their path. The redhead kidnapped them but they stole his horse. Suddenly they heard the sound of hoofs, they looked back and they saw Sir Philip.
Chapter 23 (VH ): In chapter 23, Kit and Peter travel by foot in the woods because 2 two men stole their horses. Kit was beginning to feel extremely tired. It was hard for her to keep up with Peter. A few moments later, they hear distant voices in the forest. While Kit is hiding, Peter crept along the forest path to see who was there. He hoped it wasn’t Sir Phillip and his men. When he got close enough to hear what the group of people was saying, he realized that they were reciting poetry. He listened closely and heard a familiar voice: Mr. Desmond. Peter, who was now reassured, ran toward Mr. Desmond. Mr. Desmond was tremendously surprised to see Peter. Peter recognized a few face, but some were new to him. Peter had the best of luck. The acting group was preparing for Marlow’s Edward the second, a play that contains weapons.The acting group then had a brilliant idea. They were going to dress up in costumes with a sword and a pike each. Mr. Desmond had an idea of using Kit and Peter as bait. Both of them acted as if they were tied to the tree. A few moments later, Sir Phillip appeared with a few of the conspirators. The acting group then acted as if they were sent by the Queen and were her army. They arrested Sir Phillip. When Sir Phillip saw Kit, he looked at her shock and disgust. Mr. Desmond and the acting group then rushed back to London to get back in time for the play. Chapter 24-25 (JPS ):
In the chapter ‘’ A Cue Was Missed ’’, The Queen comes and sees the play that Shakespeare wrote. During that time, Somers was supposed to kill the Queen but he was to scared to do it, so the Queen stayed safe. In the chapter ‘’After The Play’’ Peter tells us about how he marries Kit and has three kids. On the last page, Kit, Peter, and their three kids dance around a apple tree.
